ECKA is a not-for-profit organisation supporting early childhood education across Victoria’s Central Highlands. Established in 2003 as part of a government initiative, the organisation was created to provide administrative and operational support to community kindergartens.
Over the past two decades, ECKA has grown significantly. What began as a small support organisation managing only a few kindergartens has expanded into a network of 30 kindergarten and long-daycare centres, employing around 200 staff members across a large geographical area.
As a mission-driven organisation, ECKA reinvests its resources directly into improving educational outcomes, supporting educators, and ensuring children receive quality early learning experiences before entering formal schooling.
Their Challenges
As the organisation expanded, so did the demands on its head office team. Growth in key departments such as Human Resources, Finance, and Operations required additional staff and workspace.
